Report: Spurs ‘seem interested’ in Lyon forward as Eriksen replacement

Tottenham Hotspur may soon find themselves in the market for a new playmaker, as Christian Eriksen has revealed that he is keen to move onto bigger things this summer (Ekstra Bladet).

It will be near impossible to replace the talent and experience that the Great Dane brings to the Spurs side, especially after six years at the club.

However, one man Tottenham are reportedly interested in is Lyon’s Nabil Fekir, after he scored 12 and set up nine in 39 games this season.

L’Equipe have now revealed that few clubs are queuing up for the forward, as talks over a new contract have been abandoned by Lyon.

Spurs are apparently interested in the player, especially if Eriksen leaves, but they have yet to make a formal approach.

Fekir has only got a year left on his current contract, and L’Equipe believe he could move for below the original 50 million Euro price tag.

Spurs Web Opinion:

There are others I would choose above him, but Fekir is worth monitoring, in case he does become available at a bargain price. However, Lyon are surely unlikely to sell Ndombele and Fekir to Spurs in one window, and I would much rather purchase the former.
