Report: Spurs sent scout to watch Juventus play on Sunday

Representatives from Tottenham were present at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday to watch Juventus take on Parma.

Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato claims that the Champions League finalists sent a member of their scouting team to run the rule over Juve pair Adrien Rabiot and Federico Bernardeschi.

The Italian champions beat Parma 2-1 on the night courtesy of a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo and while Rabiot started and played all ninety minutes, Bernardeschi was an unused substitute in the game.

The report claims the Lilywhites are exploring the possibility of signing both midfielders this month after failing to live up to expectations in Turin this season.

Rabiot, who was reported to be on Spurs’ radar before he signed for Juventus (France Football), has made a slow start to life in Turin. Meanwhile, Bernardeschi is also said to have been deemed as surplus to requirements by Maurizio Sarri but 25-year-old is also reportedly attracting interest from Barcelona (Calcio Mercato).

We already have several players who have the same skill set as Bernardeschi in the style of Erik Lamela and Giovani Lo Celso. I also doubt that Juve will be willing to sell Rabiot just six months after signing him.
