Report: Spurs sent scout to watch this goal-scoring star at the weekend

Tottenham Hotspur may already be looking ahead to new signings for their new head coach Jose Mourinho as the January transfer window approaches.

While Mourinho has inherited a talented squad from Mauricio Pochettino, he has not yet been able to put his own mark on the team.

However, a report from the Turkish newspaper, Star, has now claimed that Tottenham sent scouts to Istanbul at the weekend to watch Fenerbahce vs Besiktas.

The Spurs scouts are said to have watched the Kosovan striker, Vedat Muriqi, who has been in top form for both club and country this season, even netting against England in a EURO 2020 qualifier.

The Spurs scouts are said to be looking to follow Muriqi’s performances closely and will get a further lowdown on the striker while out there.

It is said to be unlikely that Fenerbahce would sell in the middle of the season, especially when the player’s contract isn’t up until 2023.
