Tottenham Hotspur are refusing to give up on the chase for West Bromwich Albion right-back Nathan Ferguson.
The Sun report that Spurs sent their top scout, Brian Carey to watch the 19-year-old in action last Monday night in the Baggies 1-0 win at Preston North End.
Ferguson once again caught the eye, and went close to scoring with a first-half effort having raced forward half the length of the pitch before forcing a save from Preston keeper Declan Rudd.
The England youth international is out of contract at the Hawthorns at the end of the season and is said to be open to a potential move abroad.
Ferguson can agree a pre-contract agreement with a club on the continent when the transfer window opens next month.
Spurs, along with Crystal Palace are both keen to tie up a deal for Ferguson with the Premier League pair having experienced issues at right back.
The North London club have already played Kyle Walker-Peters, Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth on the right side of their defence this season.
