Report: Spurs set £40million price tag on England international

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to sell Kieran Trippier this summer with Manchester United said to be keen on the right back.

The Express claim that Spurs will accept an offer from their Premier League rivals if a bid in the region of £40million is made.

The England right-back has struggled with form this season since returning from the World Cup.

He played the full 95 minutes of Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Manchester City and struggled against Raheen Sterling.

The England wing-back still has three years left on the contract which he signed in 2017, but it appears that Spurs are ready to end his spell in North London.

United are expected to be in the market for a right-back this summer after Antonio Valencia has suffered an injury-hit season with Matteo Darmian and Diogo Dalot taking responsibility to fill the void.

Trippier moved to White Hart Lane from Burnley in 2015 for a fee in the region of £3.5million and has since gone on to make 108 appearances in all competitions for the club (Daily Mail).

He was absent from the Spurs squad which lost 1-0 to City yesterday with many fans impressed by the performance of Juan Foyth on the right side of defence.
