Report: Spurs set for Friday night Premier League return

Tottenham are expected to return to Premier League football in a Friday night clash against Manchester United, according to the Evening Standard.

The game, which will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is lined up for June 19 at 8pm (BST) and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Jose Mourinho will host his former side at the new Spurs Stadium for the first time since the stadium’s opening last April.

The Red Devils currently sit four points ahead of Spurs in fifth place, three points for Mourinho’s men could prove huge in their late fight for a top-four spot. (Premier League)

The fifth round of COVID-19 testing across the Premier League clubs revealed one positive result yesterday.

Out of 1,197 tests, the one positive result was from the Tottenham camp and is believed to be a fringe player from the first team. (THFC)

Well, what a game to return to. I think it could be a case of lose and it is goodbye to any remaining hopes of a top-four challenge. However, if we come away with the three points, let’s hope that provides the lads the momentum to provide a real challenge.
