The Telegraph have reported that Tottenham Hotspur are very keen on bringing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic into the club this summer.

They also suggest that the deal could potentially be worth more than £40 million.

Spurs reportedly want to bring the young striker in to support and play with Harry Kane rather than to replace the England captain with the rumours whirling around the 28-year-old’s future.

Vlahovic is fresh off an excellent season with Fiorentina in Serie A. The 21-year-old scored an impressive 21 goals in 37 games in the league despite Fiorentina finishing 13th in the table.

Fabio Paratici, since joining the club as managing director of football, has been very active in the transfer market – bringing in two players from foreign leagues in Bryan Gill from La Liga and Pierluigi Gollini from Serie A (Transfermarkt).

It appears that the Italian wants to bolster Tottenham’s attacking options and the young striker in Vlahovic reportedly has big admires not only in North London but across the whole of Europe.

Vlahovic is a beast of a striker. 21 goals for a mid-table team, at 21-years old, is very impressive. He strikes me as a player good enough to replace Kane long-term, let alone play alongside him. This would be a hugely ambitious and exciting move.
