Report: Spurs set their sights on teenage striker with five goals this season

According to Fanatik, Tottenham Hotspur have now entered the race to sign Turkish starlet Semih Kilicsoy, who has exploded onto the scene at Besiktas this season.

Over the last couple of days, the news has been dominated by Spurs’ reported talks with Club Brugge over a deal for one of the most exciting wide attackers in Europe, Antonio Nusa (The Athletic).

It has now emerged that Tottenham are also considering a move for another 18-year-old attacker who is also turning a lot of heads, with Kilicsoy now on their radar.

Although the Turkish teenager can play in either flank, unlike Nusa, his preferred position is as a centre-forward, with the youngster netting five goals in just eight league appearances this season (Transfermarkt).

Tottenham face competition for Semih Kilicsoy

Fanatik make it clear that Spurs will not have a free run at Kilicsoy, who is also thought to be on the wishlist of several other clubs across the continent.

The report says that Ange Postecoglou’s men might have to battle the likes of Aston Villa, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund for the striker’s signature.

The publication asserts that Besiktas would only let the teenager leave during the current transfer window for a fee of €25m (£21.4m).

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have a number of talented young strikers coming through at the moment in the form of Dane Scarlett, Troy Parrot, Jamie Donley, Alejo Veliz, Will Lankshear and Jude Soonsup-Bell.

I wonder if that will make Postecoglo and co think twice about bringing another up-and-coming number nine through the door.
