Report: Spurs set to battle Arsenal and West Ham rivals for 19-goal striker

Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are locked in a three-way battle with Arsenal and West Ham United in the race for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Solanke has been one of the best strikers on show in the Premier League this season, with the centre-forward having taken his game to a new level since Andoni Iraola’s arrival at the Vitality Stadium last summer.

The Englishman has found the back of the net 19 times in all competitions so far this campaign and potentially stands an outside chance of making the Three Lions squad for the Euros.

Tottenham’s interest in the striker first came to light a couple of months ago when The Sun suggested that the Lilywhites would be prepared to pay over £50m to land the striker.

Tottenham are interested in Dominic Solanke

Football Insider have now claimed that Spurs remain keen on Solanke and continue to hold a ‘concrete’ interest in the Cherries star ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, they are not the only ones to do so, with West Ham and Arsenal also said to be big admirers of the 26-year-old.

In fact, it is alleged that the Hammers have been fans of the Bournemouth star for a long time and even failed with a move for the player last summer.

The publication points out that Solanke is contracted to the South Coast club until 2027 and it is thus going to take a big offer to poach him away this summer.

While Solanke might not be in the same class as Ivan Toney, he is probably a better fit for Tottenham’s system than the Brentford star.

The Cherries striker is quite mobile, capable of playing on the shoulder of the defence and is quite adept at getting on the end of crosses.
