GiveMeSport have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in signing Union Saint-Gilloise striker Mohamed Amoura this summer.
The report says that Ange Postecoglou wants to bolster his options in attack this summer ahead of a potential return to the Champions League and that the Lilywhites have now set their sights on Amoura.
The 22-year-old has been the best striker on show in Belgian football this season, having netted 22 times across all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt).

It is revealed that Amoura’s exploits has not only attracted attention from Spurs but also from other clubs in the Premier League, with West Ham United and Wolves also eyeing a move for the player.
In addition, the Algerian international is also alleged to have garnered interest from clubs in Germany and France, with the competition for his signature now ‘rife’.
The publication adds that since the striker’s contract at Union SG runs until 2027, it is going to take a ‘big money’ offer to prize him away from the current leads of the Jupiler Pro League.

One would think that Postecoglou would want a higher calibre of centre-forward than Amoura, who is not yet proven at the highest level.
Given how well Richarlison has played over the last few months, only top-tier strikes such as Jonathan David, Ivan Toney or potentially Santiago Gimenez would be an upgrade on the Brazilian.
