Report: Spurs set to beat Chelsea after Inter Milan ace agrees terms on two-year deal

Tottenham Hotspur look set to beat Juventus and Chelsea to land Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic, according to The Independent.

The report claims that the 33-year-old has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the north London club and is set to make a decision on Monday.

The Croatian is out of contract at Inter Milan this summer and a move to the Premier League could see him reunite with Antonio Conte, having played under the Spurs boss during their Serie A title-winning campaign in 2021/22.

Perisic has played in all but three of Inter’s games this season and has been offered a new contract, however, he has yet to provide them with a decision on his future (transfermarkt).

Sky Italia revealed earlier this week that Inter had improved the financial terms of their offer to the former Bayern Munich player and were not prepared to discuss any further uplift.

Perisic would be a brilliant free-signing for Tottenham and bring a wealth of experience to the dressing room ahead of the club’s return to the Champions League. If Spurs were to sell Sergio Reguilon, it would see Ryan Sessegnon get to learn from the Croat on the left-flank.
