Report: Spurs set to lose out on long-term target to European giant

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the summer look to have taken a significant blow.

The Express are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign the 26-year-old who has spoken of his desire to play at the highest level and are ready to make a £65million offer.

Zaha has told Palace that he wants to leave the club in the summer and is keen to play Champions League football.

The Ivory Coast international is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2023 and earns around £130,000-a-week which would make him one of the highest earners at Tottenham.

PSG would be comfortably able to increase Zaha’s salary and have sent scouts to watch him in action this season.

He was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham and Chelsea last summer before he penned his contract extension (Telegraph).

Palace chairman Steve Parrish has previously admitted that he would be open to the prospect of Zaha leaving the south London outfit if it was in the best interests of the player and the club.

He told the Mirror: “We have to look at it. We have to look at the right circumstances for Wilf, the right circumstances for the club.
