Report: Spurs set to make second offer for teenager after being rebuffed previously

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a second offer for Wigan’s promising young striker, Kyle Joseph.

Tottenham snapped up Alfie Devine from Wigan during the summer transfer window and the midfielder has already made waves in North London.

Not only has he impressed for the Under-18s but he has also trained with the Tottenham first-team on multiple occasions.

The Sun reveal that Spurs also tried to sign Joseph during the previous transfer window but saw their £150,000 offer turned down by the Latics.

The 19-year-old has been handed plenty of game time in League One this season and netted an impressive hattrick in Wigan’s 4-3 win over Burton in midweek.

It is said that his performance at the Pirelli Stadium has convinced the Lilywhites to return with a second offer for the Scotland Under-21 international.

The report claims that Tottenham are hopeful that Devine’s development over the past few months can convince Joseph that a move to Spurs is the right one for him.
