Report: Spurs set to rekindle interest in £30million-rated right-back

Tottenham Hotspur have once again registered their interest in Norwich City’s Max Aarons, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that Tottenham have attempted to sign the England Under-21 international but a move failed to materialise.

Tottenham are said to have made a new right-back one of their transfer priorities this summer, with Norwich having a gentleman’s agreement with Aarons to allow him to leave after he stuck with the Canaries following their relegation to the Championship.

Daniel Farke’s side have returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking and it would take a fee of £30million to allow Norwich to sanction his sale.

Jose Mourinho brought in Matt Doherty from Wolves last summer but the Republic of Ireland international has failed to live up to expectation.

Serge Aurier has shown more reliability this season than in previous campaigns, however, the 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the next campaign (transfermarkt).

Everton are also reported to be keen on Aarons, with the Toffees apparently having the funds available to blow Spurs out of the water.
