Report: Spurs set to send striker on loan next season with club in market for Kane back-up

Tottenham Hotspur will look to send young forward Dane Scarlett out on loan next season, according to Football London.

The striker signed his first professional contract after turning 17 in March of last year which will run until the summer of 2023 (Spurs official).

Scarlett, 18, started the season in the plans of former boss Nuno Espirito Santo, having featured in the Europa Conference League and following the sacking of the Portuguese has had to accept minimal game time following the appointment of Antonio Conte (transfermarkt).

The report claims that there was interest in the academy product last summer from Bournemouth but a deal failed to materialise due to no guarantees being given over game time.

Scarlett’s opportunities in north London next season also look to be slim with the club keen to bring in another forward to act as cover for Harry Kane.

It is expected that there will be further interest from Championship clubs ahead of next season with Spurs keen for the player to further his footballing education with regular senior minutes.
