Report: Spurs set to swoop for Chelsea target after failed ban appeal

Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing Fiorentina striker Federico Chiesa to the club, however an impending transfer ban may make things tricky (Sun).

The Blues have been banned for breaking rules regarding the signing of youth players, and are subsequently unable to sign any players over the next two transfer windows.

This means that any ‘Chelsea targets’ are now irrelevant, as any other club could swoop in and sign the players themselves, which is perhaps exactly what Tottenham will do (Metro).

Chiesa has scored eleven goals and set up an impressive eight over 29 appearances this season so far for the Italian outfit.

Tottenham have been on the hunt for a class young striker to play second fiddle, or even support Harry Kane for some time now, and this 21-year-old could fit the bill.

Juventus, Inter Milan, and AC Milan are all said to be interested in the forward, who is apparently worth around £70m.
