Report: Spurs set to table two new contract offers

According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer new deals to both Eric Dier and Oliver Skipp, with the club said to be keen getting both players to commit to new long-term contracts.

Both players have one year left on their respective current deals Jose Mourinho reportedly considers both as important members of the squad.

The report suggests that the Spurs boss is a huge admirer of Skipp, with the club now set to offer the 19-year-old at least a four-year contract.

Mourinho revealed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash against Sheffield United that he sees Dier as an important part of his plans and is hopeful that the England international will be able to agree to a new deal with the club (Football.London).

Football Insider now claim that Dier, who has now become Mourinho’s first choice in central defence alongside Davinson Sanchez, will shortly be offered a new contract by Spurs who are optimistic that the 26-year-old will agree to sign.

The suspension of the league came at the wrong time for Skipp as I thought he was slowly starting to play his way into the side prior to the lockdown. He has had to start from scratch again since the restart and it will not be easy for him to get game time when the likes of Sissoko, Winks and Lo Celso are fit. However, I am convinced that next season could be a potential breakthrough year for the 19-year-old.
