Report: Spurs show interest in Juventus ace

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Juventus winger Douglas Costa in this summer’s transfer window.

The Brazilian winger has also attracted the attention from Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-German, so the north London outfit will face extreme competition if they are to coup this caliber of a player.

It is believed that the Serie A club are wanting more than the original £34.1million that they paid last summer when they signed him from Bayern Munich.

Due to the arrival of record signing Cristiano Ronaldo, who hasn’t struggled to pick up from his fine form in the Spanish capital, along with freqent injuries the Brazilian winger has struggled to implement his place in the Italian champions side only picking up seven starts in the Serie A and four appearances in the Champions League.

Costa will now be looking for the exit door from the Turin club to revitalise his career elsewhere.
