Report: Spurs star forced to quarantine in hotel room after positive tests in national squad

Earlier today, we covered a report from Goal.com which revealed that four players from the South Korea squad had tested positive for COVID-19.

Thankfully for Tottenham, Son Heung-min was not one of them, with the four being identified as Ulsan Hyundai’s Jo Hyeonwoo, Busan’s Lee Dongjun, Freiburg’s Kwon Changhoon and Rubin Kazan’s Hwang Inbeom.

The report revealed that the South Korean squad will be tested again ahead of their game against Mexico this evening to determine whether the match can go ahead.

The Daily Mail have now provided an update on the developments within the South Korean camp, revealing that Son and his teammates have been forced to quarantine in their hotel rooms following the four positive tests.

The report claims that the squad were tested again this morning and are awaiting the results to see whether there are any more positive cases.

It also confirms that, if the Tottenham man does test positive, he will have to self-isolate in Austria before returning to the UK, and he will thus miss the clash against Manchester City on November 21.
