Report: Spurs star has ‘verbally agreed’ deal with potential new club

Christian Eriksen certainly did not waste any time following the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool when he revealed that he wanted to leave the club ahead of the upcoming season (Ekstra Bladet).

The Dane spoke to the media in his homeland and during the interview invited an approach from Real Madrid.

Nearly two month’s on from the interview, Eriksen is still at Tottenham Hotspur and is now within the last twelve months of his contract.

Spanish news outlet AS have claimed that the 27-year-old has already verbally agreed personal terms with Madrid in the event a move should happen.

Eriksen is still considered to be Madrid’s Plan B, behind Manchester United’s Paul Pogba who remains Zinedine Zidane’s primary transfer target.

Tottenham will face the Spanish giants tomorrow evening in the Audi Cup pre-season match in Munch which could see Eriksen come up against his potential new employer.

Eriksen was part of the Tottenham squad which made the trip to the Far East for their fixtures against Juventus in Singapore and Manchester United in Shanghai; but did not feature in either after it was claimed that he underwent a small operation after the Champions Legue final (The Sun).
