Report: Spurs star keen to move abroad and now it’s down to Levy to sanction

Kieran Trippier’s move to Italy could be on after it was reported in the native media that the Tottenham Hotspur right-back wants to make the switch to Juventus this summer.

The England international has experienced a difficult twelve months after his World Cup high where he was one of the Three Lions best performers having scored a beautiful free-kick in the semi-final defeat to Croatia to struggling with his form at Tottenham.

Trippier has become a source of frustration among some pockets of the Spurs faithful this season after making a number of high profile defensive mistakes against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Ajax.

The 28-year-old is said to prefer a move to Juventus over Napoli and Inter Milan with his wife already having travelled to Italy to check out potential schools for their children. according to Bianconero.

A fee of £26.7million has been suggested have been enough to open discussions with the player now keen to depart North London.

Opinion

Trippier looked completely devoid of confidence at Spurs this season and a move abroad would certainly be in the best interests of the player and the club.

Spurs need to make a significant improvement in the right-back position with Serge Aurier also failing to live up to expectation.
