Report: Spurs star ‘not sold’ on move away from club – has one day to decide

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed a fee of around £13m with Club Brugge for the transfer of Victor Wanyama this summer (Standard).

However, the deal will have to go through at the double if it is to beat the September 2 deadline in just a few days.

Brugge are said to be eager to get the deal over the line in time, but will push for other options if Wanyama does not make up his mind.

The Kenyan is said to be unsure whether he wants to make the move to the Belgian club, despite the fact that they recently qualified for the Champions League group stages.

Wanyama has also worked with the current manager, Philippe Clement, in the past, so it seems like the perfect deal, considering he won’t get much game time at Spurs.

The likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Giovani Lo Celso, Christian Eriksen, Oliver Skipp, Dele Alli, and more are all capable of playing in the central midfield role.

Perhaps Wanyama did not like the look of Brugge’s CL group with Real Madrid and PSG.
