Report: Spurs star stormed out of stadium at half-time after ‘fiery’ changing room exchange

The Daily Mail have reported that Serge Aurier stormed out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at half-time last night after he was substituted by Jose Mourinho.

Aurier had started the match at right-wing-back but struggled to contain the likes of Sadio Mane against Liverpool in the opening 45 minutes.

Mourinho chose to take off Aurier and Kane (injured) at half-time in order to add extra manpower into the midfield in the form of Harry Winks and Erik Lamela.

Unfortunately for Spurs, the problems only seemed to grow in the second half, with Liverpool eventually running away as 3-1 winners in North London.

The Daily Mail reported that there was a ‘fiery’ inquest at half-time after the Spurs defenders let Liverpool in behind time and time again. The report added that things ‘kicked off’ in the home dressing room, although more details are not provided.

Matt Doherty played out the second 45 at right-back after Aurier was relieved of his duties, but the Ivorian didn’t appear to stick around to watch the rest of the game.
