Report: Spurs star to reject £20m move to Premier League rival

Christian Eriksen is set to snub a move to Manchester United in the January window for the second time.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and revealed just days after the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in June that he wanted to seek a new challenge whilst inviting contact from Real Madrid (Ekstra Bladet).

A move to the Spanish giants failed to materialise in the summer and was believed to have held talks with Manchester United in the summer but believed that he had his heart set on a move to La Liga (BBC).

Eriksen can begin talks with clubs on the continent from next month over a pre-contract agreement which would see him walk away from North London as a free agent and put him in a lucrative position of negotiating his next deal.

The Daily Star report that the Danish international will reject the advances of the Old Trafford outfit despite Spurs chairman Daniel Levy being prepared to accept £25million in the winter window rather than lose him for free, United are said to be prepared to offer £20million.
