Report: Spurs star waiting for other offers despite reaching agreement with club

According to a report by The Times, Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is waiting to see if there are any other offers on the table for him despite agreeing on a deal in principle with Inter Milan.

The Danish international is out of contract at the end of the season and Spurs are said to be keen on selling him this month.

However, the report claims that Eriksen is open to staying at Tottenham until the summer and leaving on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old is said to be available for £20 million this month, with Inter said to be the front runners for his signature. The former Ajax man has reportedly agreed on a £100,000 a week deal in principle with Inter but is prepared to wait for offers from Spain.

The report suggests that Eriksen prefers a move to Spain over the Serie A and Express Sport claim that he had hoped either Real Madrid or Barcelona would make an offer for him in the summer.

It is understandable that Eriksen wants to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona as a move to Inter will be a sideways step at best for the midfielder. Unfortunately, he only has himself to blame for the lack of interest in him from big clubs as his form has gone down a cliff over the last calendar year.
