Report: Spurs star’s former club ‘ready of offer’ him way out of North London

According to a report from The Telegraph, Nice are ready to offer Hugo Lloris a way out of Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Lloris began his career at Nice before moving to Lyon, where he made a name for himself and established himself as a regular between the sticks for Les Blues.

The 34-year-old has been a loyal servant for Spurs since arriving at the club back in 2012 but there has been some speculation about his future recently as he is set to enter the final 12 months of his current contract at the end of the season.

Previous reports claimed that the France number could reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

Some publications in France have asserted that the Tottenham captain does not wish to sign a new deal at Spurs and wants to take on one final challenge.

The Telegraph now suggests that Nice wish to bring the experienced shot-stopped back to the club as a marquee signing in the summer.

The report claims that the Tottenham star’s emotional interview following the club’s loss to Dinamo Zagreb last Thursday has raised the Ligue 1 club’s hopes of bringing the goalkeeper back to France in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

It would be a shame if Lloris leaves Spurs without winning a single trophy. The Frenchman has been an extremely loyal servant for the club and deserves to have something to show for his efforts. If he is to leave this summer, I desperately hope that we can get our hands on the League Cup so that his time at the club can end on a relative high.
