Report: Spurs still hopeful of signing this Premier League player in summer

Eurosport have reported that Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Southampton striker Danny Ings this summer.

The report claims that Spurs have been keeping an eye on Ings this season and are hopeful that they may have a chance of signing him before the next campaign.

This comes after Eurosport also reported back in January that Tottenham were keen on bringing the England goalscorer to North London.

Ings enters the final year of his contract at the end of the current season and TransferMarkt value him at just under £20m.

Although the striker has had his injury problems in the past and his dream move to Liverpool didn’t exactly go as planned, Ings has managed nine goals and four assists in 24 Premier League matches this season (TransferMarkt).

However, he has struggled with three separate injury problems in this season alone, keeping him out for 19 days, eight days and 34 days respectively (TransferMarkt).

It remains to be seen whether Levy and co want to roll the dice on another injury-prone striker when Harry Kane is also known to have his reoccurring issues.
