The Evening Standard have revealed that Tottenham remain hopeful they can offload Tanguy Ndombele soon, with clubs from Saudi Arabia and Turkey still being able to sign players.

While the European transfer window has closed, the Turkish window remains open until September 15 while Saudi Pro League clubs can sign players until Thursday.

There have already been some reports over the last couple of that Davinson Sanchez is now edging close to a move to Galatasaray, with two clubs alleged to be ironing out the final details of the transfer (Rudy Galetti).

Ndombele could also head to Turkey

The Evening Standard have now explained that Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both showed interest in Ndombele this summer but the Frenchman was reluctant to move to Turkey.

However, with Okan Buruk’s side now having qualified for the group stages of the Champions League, Spurs are thought to be hopeful that the 26-year-old could reconsider his stance if Galatasaray renew their interest in the midfielder.

I am not sure that the offer of Champions League football would be enough to tempt Ndombele to Turkey.

However, the midfielder now faces warming the bench for six months at Spurs, which is why he might have no choice but to accept the move. Tottenham’s dream scenario would be the permanent sale of the 26-year-old to a Saudi club.
