Report: Spurs striker target confirms he is leaving club for free in the summer

Tottenham-linked Nantes striker Randal Kolo Muani has confirmed he is planning to leave the club at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has impressed for Les Canaris following his breakthrough campaign last term, registering six goals and three assists in Ligue 1 this season.

However, recent reports have claimed the France U21 international has no intention of renewing his current deal with Nantes which expires at the end of the season.

Kolo Muani confirmed that his future would not be with Nantes after scoring twice in his side’s 3-2 comeback against Lens on Friday.

He said (via Foot Mercato): “Yes, it is my last season in Nantes. I haven’t made a specific decision yet. I’m trying to end the season calmly, and then I’ll try to think about it later. At the moment I’ll give my all on the pitch.”

With the door open for clubs across Europe to strike a deal, Tottenham are said to be keeping tabs on the striker’s situation.

Reports have stated Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici recently met with Kolo Muani’s representatives to get the ball rolling on a possible move to North London.

However, Spurs are not alone in their interest, with Bundesliga clubs Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin all keeping tabs on the striker.

This does seem like a more low-key transfer target, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him be moved off the list if Antonio Conte doesn’t approve of a move. He would also likely be a relatively cheap striker to pick up in January if the club doesn’t want to wait until the summer.
