Report: Spurs tabled bid £20m under valuation of Premier League midfielder on Monday

Tottenham Hotspur tabled a £30million offer for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Adama Traore on Monday, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.

It was reported that Wolves would have wanted £50million on transfer deadline day if they were to part company with the Spanish international, however, Tottenham did not return with an improved offer yesterday.

Traore is out of contract in 2023 and while negotiations have started over a new deal, fresh terms have yet to be signed (Birmingham Mail).

The jet-heeled winger had impressed in Wolves’ opening three matches of the Premier League season, posing plenty of problems for Japhet Tanganga in Spurs’ recent 1-0 win at Molineux.

Tottenham’s transfer window ended with five new arrivals after the additions of Pierluigi Gollini, Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal.
