Report: Spurs target changes agent ahead of potential free summer transfer

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Ryan Fraser has reportedly changed his agent ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Fraser’s contract with Bournemouth runs out this summer and the winger has been heavily linked with Spurs as well as their North London rivals, Arsenal (90min).

However, the Lilywhites are said to be favourites for the winger’s signature (The Mirror) with previous reports also indicating that Fraser prefers a move to Spurs (Football Insider).

Todofichajes reported this week that the 26-year-old has already agreed on a deal in principle with Spurs when his contract at the Vitality Stadium runs out.

However, the latest update from The Sunday Mirror (31/05, page 68) has cast doubts over the deal. It is revealed that the Bournemouth star has parted ways with long-term agent Jon McLeish and has now signed with Paul Martin instead.

Martin is also said to be the man who represents Arsenal manager, Mike Arteta, and so it is suggested that this development could give the Gunners the upper hand in the race for Fraser.

The fact that Martin is also Arteta’s agent may just be a coincidence but, given the timing of the agent change, it is clear that Fraser has done it with a potential transfer in mind. While the Bournemouth winger would be a very effective squad player for us, he is much more likely to get regular game time at Arsenal and they arguably need him more than we do.
