Report: Spurs target could be available on free transfer as early as June 30

According to a report in The Sun, rumoured Spurs target Ryan Fraser is set to reject an offer to extend his deal with the Cherries until the end of the season.

Fraser has been linked with a move to Tottenham over the past two months, with reports indicating that the winger has told close friends that he wants to move to the Lilywhites (Football Insider).

Although Arsenal are also said to be interested in the Scotland international (90min), reports indicate that Spurs are the front-runners to snap him up when he becomes a free agent (Mirror).

The 26-year-old’s current deal runs out on June 30, and The Sun now reveal that he will not sign a short-term extension to see out the season at the Vitality Stadium.

This means that Spurs may not have to wait long to sign Fraser with a potential opportunity to do so at the end of this month.

If the winger does not sign an extension, it means that he will only be eligible to be picked by Eddie Howe’s side for the clashes against Crystal Palace and Wolves, and could be free to find a new club after that.

Spurs Web Opinion

Perhaps Fraser does not want to pick up an injury in the final nine games of the season, that could potentially jeopardise the chance of him getting a big transfer in the summer. Even if he does not sign an extension with Bournemouth, I would be surprised if we wrapped up the deal before the end of the season.
