Report: Spurs target looks certain to leave Ligue 1 side in the summer

Amiens forward Serhou Guirassy, who has been linked with a move to Spurs is expected to leave the club at the end of the season according to the latest reports from France.

The Daily Mail claimed last week that Tottenham sent scouts to run the rule over Guirassy when Amiens took on Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago.

The 23-year-old netted a brace in the Ligue 1 encounter and Tottenham scout Brian Carey, who was in the stands at the Stade de la Licorne for the 4-4 draw was said to have been left suitably impressed by Guirassy’s display.

Spurs are hardly alone in their interest in the young striker with the likes of Aston Villa, Brighton, Leicester and Celtic also said to be following the Frenchman’s progress.

Le11Ameinois now report that Guirassy is extremely unlikely to be at Amiens next season and is set to become the biggest export in the club’s history with an £18million price tag.

It is suggested that barring an ‘incredible turnaround’, the youngster will push to leave the relegation-threatened outfit at the end of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion

It will be interesting to see whether we go for a young striker like Guirassy or a more experienced centre forward who can come in and immediately take some of the goalscoring burden off Harry Kane. The problem as always with signing established stars is that they will likely not be content with being Kane’s understudy and will expect to play regularly.
