Report: Spurs target still has a price tag of £53m despite latest development

Despite Pedro Neto’s latest injury, Wolves are set to demand a club-record transfer fee for Tottenham target in the summer, Football.London reveal.

Neto looks set to be one of the most hotly contested players of the summer transfer window, with the pacy winger thought to be on the radar of a number of the Premier League’s heavy hitters.

While many outlets have reported over the last month that Tottenham are keen on the 23-year-old (The Independent), it has since emerged that the Portuguese winger is also on the radars of the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United (GiveMeSport).

However, the winger picked up a hamstring injury in Wolves’ 2-1 win over Fulham earlier this month, with Gary O’Neil confirming that he is now expected to be out of action for the rest of the season (Charlie Haffenden).

Wolves want at least £53m for Pedro Neto

Football.London have now revealed following Neto’s latest injury that the winger has likely played his last game for the Midlands club as he is expected to leave the Molineux Stadium in the summer.

The report says that the injury has not dampened the interest in the Portuguese international, with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal continuing to be keen on the player.

However, the publication adds that despite Neto’s fitness issues, Wolves hope to make more than the £53m they got for Matheus Nunes last summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Neto’s injury record will certainly create some doubts in the minds of the interested parties. The likes of Tottenham may want to negotiate a fee with several appearance-based clauses in order to insure themselves.
