Report: Rumoured Spurs target told he can leave La Liga side this summer

Reported Tottenham target Geoffery Kondogbia has been made available for a summer transfer switch by his current club Valencia, according to Cadena COPE.

The Spanish outlet have reported that Valencia has informed seven of their first-team players they are free to leave in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Including among the players are recognised names such as Francis Coquelin, Kevin Gameiro, and captain Dani Pajero, along with Kondogbia who will certainly attract the attention of many clubs.

Spurs have reportedly been tracking the progress for a number of years and Jose Mourinho was said in March to have been interested in bringing him to the club ahead of next season (Express).

In March, Sky Sports claimed Spurs chief scout Steve Hitchen had been monitoring the situation which could hint at an approach from the Lilywhites.

A report from the Evening Standard has suggested the midfielder could be available for around €30million, with the 27-year-old set to be out of contract at the Mestalla in 2022.

If this is the case, this could be a great alternative to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who seems to be a cert to sign this summer with his Southampton career at an end. However, it does seem Hojbjerg has his heart set on a move to Spurs and Jose Mourinho seems to be keen on the Dane joining.
