Report: Spurs target young full-back rated at £25m

If reports are to be believed Tottenham Hotspur are expected to bring a handful of new players into the squad in the summer ahead of their first full season at the new stadium.

It appears that left back is one of the positions that Tottenham seem to want to upgrade with the likes of Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell, Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon being linked with the club in recent weeks.

However, it appears that Spurs will have difficulty doing a deal for Chilwell as Leicester City are determined to do all they can from preventing their star players from leaving in the summer. (Daily Mail)

According to a report in the Guardian, Tottenham have now turned their attentions to Celtic star Kieran Tierney. The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the best full back in Scotland despite his tender age.

Tierney is technically gifted and is capable of providing the attacking threat down the left that Danny Rose did in his pomp.

At the reported £25 million price range, the Scottish defender will certainly be a valuable addition to Pochettino’s squad.
