Report: Spurs target’s agent meets with club hierarchy to clarify future

According to a report by Sky Sports Italia, AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek is keen to find a solution to his future amidst the rumours about a move to the Premier League.

The report claims that the striker is deemed as surplus to requirements at Milan following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Rossoneri are said to be open to selling the striker just a year after they signed him from Genoa.

It is claimed that Piatek’s agent met Milan’s management including Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara in order to seek clarity about the striker’s future.

While Spurs are said to be one of the front runners for the 24-year-old’s signature, Aston Villa are also said to be keen on him.

Football Italia claims that Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have also shown interest in Piatek. The striker’s father has already said that the Polish international is unhappy at the lack of game time recently and would prefer a move to the Premier League this month (Sportowe Fakty).

Spurs Web Opinion

While it is clear that we have made an approach of Piatek based on the sheer number of reports coming out for the past few weeks, I don’t believe he is our primary target. I believe the 24-year-old is likely a back up in case we fail to land the strikers that are on the top of Mourinho’s wish list.
