Report: Spurs task super agent Pini Zahavi in Bundesliga striker hunt

Tottenham have reportedly drawn up a list of alternative striking targets from the Bundesliga as a contingency in the event that their move for William Jose falls through.

German publication Bild (as translated by Sport Witness) report that the Real Sociedad striker is Tottenham’s primary target this month as they seek to bring in a replacement for the injured Harry Kane.

Wolfsburg’s Wout Weghorst, Borussia Dortmund’s Paco Alcacer and Mario Gotze, along with RB Leipzig star Timo Werner are all reported being considered by the Lilywhites this window.

It is suggested that super agent Pini Zahavi, who reportedly has good connections in Germany, has been tasked by Spurs by looking into the potential targets.

Spurs Web Opinion

All clubs generally draw up a list of several alternative targets and so it isn’t surprising that Spurs would have a contingency plan in case their primary transfer targets don’t materialise. I would be extremely pleased if we were to get either Weghorsts or Werner as I believe both players valuable additions to the squad.
