Report: Spurs to agree personal terms with top target in next 48 hours

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly expected to agree personal terms with Tanguy Ndombele over a move to the North London club this summer (Standard).

The Frenchman impressed in both the Ligue 1 and Champions League last season, particularly against Spurs’ Premier League rivals, Man City.

Ndombele has already been given a tour of the Spurs training ground by Mauricio Pochettino, according to the Sun.

The midfielder is expected to sign a five-year-deal with Tottenham this summer, becoming one of the club’s highest paid players, although his exact wage offer is not yet known.

The Evening Standard report that he is currently on £50,000-£60,000 at Lyon, where he made 49 appearances last season.

ESPN reported this week that Spurs have agreed an initial fee of €62 with Lyon, with add ons totalling a potential extra €10. If this is true, Ndombele would become Tottenham’s most expensive signing in history.

Tottenham have not made a single signing in the transfer window over the past 18 months.
