Report: Spurs to battle Arsenal and West Ham for Inter Milan star

Tottenham Hotspur look set to do battle with fierce rivals Arsenal during the summer for one of Europe’s most talked about transfer targets, Ivan Perisic.

According to the Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham United are also keen to sign the experienced Inter Milan winger

The Croatian international, scorer of his country’s equaliser in the World Cup semi-final against England was previously heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but a deal failed to materialise under Jose Mourinho.

The report claims that the 30-year-old could be available for a fee in the region of €35-40million.

Tottenham have struggled to find natural width in their side in recent seasons with Erik Lamela continuing to disappoint with his inconsistent performances and susceptibility to injury

While Arsenal and Tottenham both seem like potential realistic destinations for Perisic, the prospect of such a talented player wanting to drop significantly in standard and play for a club with no European football such as West Ham.
