Report: Spurs to be beaten to the signing of Scottish starlet by Manchester City

Manchester City are set to beat Spurs to the signing of Scottish wonderkid, Josh Adam, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The 16-year-old is reportedly viewed as one of the best young talents in Scotland and Spurs were said to be among the clubs tracking his progress.

The young midfielder has been turning heads with his performances in youth football for the past couple of years since he made his debut for Scotland Under-16s at the age of 14 in 2018.

Adam has been with Celtic’s academy for the past few years and had an option to sign professional terms with the club after turning 16 in February.

However, the teenager failed to put pen to paper on a deal with the Scottish giants, thus giving Premier League clubs the opportunity to swoop in.

It has now been revealed that Pep Guardiola’s side have seen off interest from Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea to bring Adam into their academy.
