Report: Spurs to hold meeting on Kane replacement that may result in promotion of 16-year-old academy starlet

talkSPORT have reported that Tottenham are to hold a high-level emergency meeting regarding the recent injury to Harry Kane.

With their star man out for at least a month, and Heung Min Son away on international duty, Spurs must turn elsewhere for their new year goals.

Lucas Moura is also currently nursing an injury, leaving Fernando Llorente as the only senior striker.

However, the word ‘senior’ there may be key, as Spurs could look to avoid spending money on signing any new faces by promoting an academy youngster.

The teenager in question, talkSPORT say, is 16-year-old Troy Parrott.

Parrott has scored 12 goas in 19 games for Tottenham’s under 18s, but would a step up to the Premier League be too much too soon?

The other options would be to either stick with Llorente, or sign a new player on loan for the remainder of the season.

What do you think Tottenham should do?
