Report: Spurs to join race for winger next summer if West Ham fail with move

Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to enter the race for Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman if the winger is not poached from the Danish club before tomorrow’s 11 pm transfer deadline.

Osman has seemingly caught the eye of several clubs since establishing himself as a regular in Nordsjaelland’s starting eleven this season.

The pacy winger, who is capable of playing across the forward line but prefers operating on the left wing, is a skilful dribbler and likes to take players on, although his goal and assist numbers are not anything to shout home about.

Premier League clubs plotting move for Ibrahim Osman

Jacobs has revealed on social media that both West Ham and Brighton are trying to secure Osman’s signature before tomorrow’s 11 pm transfer deadline.

He explained that Nordsjaelland have already turned down an €18m (£15.3m) offer for the winger and the Seagulls and the Hammers are continuing to hold talks in an effort to hammer out an agreement.

Jacobs added that should those clubs fail to strike a deal before the window slams shut, they will be joined in the race for Osman’s signature by others next summer, including Spurs, Monaco, Wolfsburg, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bologna.

Spurs Web Opinion

Perhaps Tottenham had identified Osman as an alternative to Antonio Nusa, with the Ghanaian having a very similar profile to the Norwegian.

As per the initial arrangement that Spurs were hoping to strike for Nusa, the winger was only going to come to the club at the end of the season. It thus makes sense that the Lilywhites are eying Osman as a target for next summer.
