Report: Spurs to rival Arsenal in chase for £17m-valued Turkish winger

Tottenham and Arsenal are both interested in Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu ahead of this summer, according to Aksam.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Turkish football’s rising stars and Aksam claim both Spurs and Arsenal are just two clubs tracking him.

However, the report adds the Premier League duo will have to also fend off interest from across Europe, with Atletico Madrid, Lyon and Wolfsburg keeping a close eye on proceedings.

The German side have reportedly already had a £12.5 million bid turned down by Galatasaray, who are holding out for a fee in the region of £17 million to sanction a move.

Akturkoglu has notched 11 goals and nine assists in 44 appearances this term, and is contracted with the Turkish giants until the summer of 2026 (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Akturkoglu seems to be making waves in Turkish football and there appears to be a pretty clear reason why a number of clubs are lining up to sign him this summer.

Spurs themselves are looking fairly stacked when it comes to wingers, though, but he could be a decent option to come in at that asking price and if there are any outgoings.
