Report: Spurs told how much they will have to pay for Marcus Thuram

A report from Bild has claimed that Tottenham will have to make a bid of around 40 million Euros to test the resolve of Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer when it comes to French attacker Marcus Thuram (via Sport Witness).

RMC first reported Tottenham’s interest in the forward, claiming that he is seen as a priority signing in North London this summer.

RMC reporter, Mohamed Bouhafsi claimed that one of his sources had informed him that talks between Spurs and Borussia Mönchengladbach had advanced this week.

However, Sky Deutschland reported that the move was far from complete, with the player’s entourage even denying that a move was in the bag (via Sport Witness).

TransferMarkt claim that Thuram is now worth around £32m off the back of an impressive campaign and that seems to match up with Bild’s report that says Spurs will need to bid around €40m or £34m.

Thuram managed to score 11 goals and assist 12 in 40 matches across all competitions last season.
