Report: Spurs trail West Ham over interest in French striker

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be one of three Premier League clubs who have enquired about the availability of Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy, according to the latest reports from France.

The centre-forward has enjoyed a respectable season for Amiens netting nine goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances (transfermarkt.com), an impressive strike rate for a club who are languishing in the relegation zone.

Tottenham have reportedly sent scouts to France to watch the 24-year-old in action this season and they are said to have been impressed with what they saw (Daily Mail).

Amiens Director of Football, John Williams, recently admitted that Guirassy could be Premier League-bound this summer (L’Equipe via Le11Amienois).

Le10 Sport report that Spurs, West Ham and Chelsea are all interested in bringing the striker to England.

The report reveals that Amiens want at least €15 million to part ways with the striker, and it is West Ham who are said to be the frontrunners to land the Frenchman.

The links with the likes of Guirassy, Muriqi and Milik certainly paint a picture as to the type of striker Jose wants to bring in. We have been missing a big centre-forward upfront who can offer us a plan B since we allowed Llorente to leave last summer. I’m not suprised Jose has identified that has a weakness that needs to be adressed.
