Report: Spurs Under-23s hit four goals again – Another for Markanday

Tottenham’s Under-23s scored four goals for the second game in a row as they put Everton to the sword on Friday.

Everton Under-23s came into the game in fine form, unbeaten in their last three Premier League 2 games.

However, it was Spurs who started the brighter and took the lead through Jack Clarke just a minute into the encounter.

Tottenham again caught Everton cold at the start of the second half, Dilan Markanday tapping in Harvey White’s cross from close range.

White then found the back of the net himself in the 62nd to put the result beyond doubt before Malachi Fagan-Walcott put the icing on the cake for Wayne Burnett’s side with a fourth in the 76th minute.

This result comes after the Tottenham Under-23s thrashed Leicester City 4-1 on Monday night, with White netting a brace in that game.

The win over Everton on Friday takes Spurs to third place in the Premier League 2 Division 1 standings, just 2 points behind Arsenal and four-behind league leaders West Ham.

Spurs Web Opinion

There have been some outstanding performers for the Tottenham Under-23s so far this season. I would not be surprised if Spurs decided to loan out the likes of Dilan Markanday, Harvey White and Malachi Fagan-Walcott in January, given the level they have been at so far this campaign.
