Report: Spurs value Harry Kane at British transfer fee record amid Bayern Munich interest

The Daily Mail have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur currently value star striker Harry Kane at £120million, a considerable amount more than what Bayern Munich have offered.

Earlier today, we relayed an update from Fabrizio Romano on CaughtOffside, where the journalist claimed that Bayern Munich‘s latest offer of €80m (£68.6m) plus add-ons for Kane is likely to be rejected by Spurs.

He explained that it is going to take a much higher offer for chairman Daniel Levy and the Tottenham hierarchy to even consider selling the England captain.

Tottenham value Harry Kane at £120million

The report claims that Tottenham consider Kane to be worth a potential British transfer record amount, eclipsing the £105million (talkSPORT) that Arsenal are set to pay West Ham United for midfielder Declan Rice.

The report adds that the likelihood of the Bundesliga side increasing their bid further to close to the £ 100m mark for Kane appears quite small at the moment.

It is suggested that there is expected to be some clarity over Kane’s future this week once the striker returns to pre-season training on Wednesday, with the 29-year-old is expected to have a conversation with Ange Postecoglou over his future.

The new Spurs head coach was asked about Kane’s future at a press conference earlier today in which he told Football.London: “I don’t think it’s my role to sit there and treat people in a manner because of their circumstances. I treat everyone the same. Harry is already an important figure in the history of this football club. He’s one of the premier players in the world. I want him here and I want to make this club successful. I’m certain he wants that as well.

“It’s not going to be a conversation where we come out with some kind of understanding. I just want to introduce myself and I want to know what he wants to happen to make this football club successful then we’ll go out there on the training ground and make it happen.

I think an offer of around £90m plus £10m in relatively easy add-ons, could be enough to bring Tottenham to the negotiating table but there is no indication at the moment that Bayern are willing to make such a bid.
