Report: Spurs weighing up late loan move for Gareth Bale

Football Insider claim that Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a loan move to bring Gareth Bale back to North London.

Bale, 31, was not part of the Real Madrid squad knocked out of the Champions League at Manchester City on Friday, with manager Zinedine Zidane claiming that the Welshman preferred not to play (BBC).

Bale has two years to run on his Real contract, which is thought to be worth over £600,000 a week (Guardian).

Former Madrid chairman Ramon Calderon has admitted that he is sad to see Bale wasting his time at the La Liga giants and revealed that he would not be surprised to see the winger head out on loan with a club paying a percentage of his wages (BBC).

The report claims that Spurs are monitoring Bale’s situation at Los Blancos and could make a late approach in the transfer window.

Spurs are said to be keen on helping Bale to revive his career with a return to the Premier League.
