Report: Spurs will accept an ‘appropriate’ offer for 28-year-old this summer

Football Insider have said that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to accept the right kind of offer for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg when the transfer window opens in the summer.

With Hojbjerg struggling for starts under Ange Postecoglou this season and with the midfielder set to enter into the final year of his contract this June, his days at Spurs now look numbered.

According to Football Insider, plans are being made to offload the experienced player, who will play a key part in Denmark’s European Championship campaign this summer.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg likely to leave Tottenham

According to the report, Hojbjerg wants to call time on his spell at Tottenham after four years at the club, with the North London club not wanting to stand in his way.

The Lilywhites are said to be keen on getting his salary off their wage bill and are thus ready to accept an ‘appropriate bid’ for the midfielder.

Finally, the publication adds that the former Southampton man is attracting quite a lot of interest from Serie A, with Juventus named as one of the clubs eyeing the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is an open secret that Hojbjerg will leave Tottenham this summer and there will likely be a few clubs vying for his signature. Both Juve and Atletico were interested in him last summer but were put off by Spurs’ asking price. One would expect both of them to return for the midfielder, who will now be considerably cheaper than a year ago.
